The AGN outflow in Mrk 279: Results from a deep simultaneous Chandra/HST/FUSE campaign

We show the first successful global fit for AGN outflow troughs. Eleven troughs from simultaneous HST/FUSE observations of Mrk 279 show complete coverage of the continuum source and the same velocity dependent covering fraction for the broad emission line region. These fits are then used to explore the photoionization equilibrium and the chemical abundances of the outflow. We also show results from the 360 ksec Chandra observations and discuss the relationship between the UV and the X-ray manifestations of this AGN outflow.
