David shiped 2.06_06 to CPAN, and gave me a diff which is in blead as change
34615. I've checked your test case from that thread and it now behaves the same
as 1.08 (which is the version in /usr/bin/perl here).
However, I'm not sure if it address the more complex issues later in the
thread.
Do you have time to check whether it's good to go?
