Problems attempted to load Storable

Hi, 

 

I wonder if you can help me, I'm having problems compiling Storable,
namely, as  I do not have access to the c complier gcc.

To make matters worse, a policy decision has been made within my
workplace, that we are only allowed access to one C complier on our
machines here, 

and that has been chosen to be cc.

 

Therefore, could you possible tell me how I can go about compiling the
Storable module with cc?

 

I have attempted to modify the Makefile, swapping gcc with cc, and gcc
with ld where it seems appropriate, but my knowledge of c compilers is
limited and I'm unsure what the appropriate gcc to cc flag translations
should be.
