perl@34300

I've made a snapshot:

   http://www.ccl4.org/~nick/P/perl-34300.tar.bz2

It's mostly what 5.8.9 is going to be. Based what Craig reported I expect it
on VMS to fail ext/threads/t/free2.t ext/threads/t/free.t
lib/CGI/t/uploadInfo.t lib/CGI/t/upload.t lib/ExtUtils/t/cd.t
lib/ExtUtils/t/eu_command.t lib/ExtUtils/t/Manifest.t

Reini Urban reported on IRC that on Cygwin it fails ext/Time/HiRes/t/HiRes.t
(But that's all)

It should be clean on Win32 and *nix.

Anything else it fails anywhere is most definitely unknown and unexpected, so
please report it. I'm aware that it's giving quite a few compiler warnings
with gcc about value computed not used, and unsure why blead and 5.10.x
aren't.

How it fairs with less common OSes, architectures that are not x86, and
compilers that are not gcc, is interesting.
