todo list for moving to git

#p5p right now is discussing the move to git.  The decision to get moved over
was made in March (that's six months ago) and we're not yet cut over.

What blockers exist?

One was named on channel:

  1. there is no automaticaly updated rsync archive from which smokers can keep
     pulling without having to reconfigure

That should be easy enough to sort out.

What else?  Let's make a list.  People have already volunteered to work on
identified tasks.
