success for @20897 on OSX! Out of date CPAN modules attached...

Yeah, nearly there, except for base.pm which is still messy.  Sure, I
can "install base" the moment I install 5.8.1, but why should I have
to?  Especially when "install base" issues all sorts of "pseudohashes
are deprecated" messages.
